The Swan of Pasquale D'Auria

The world is a complex but with space for simplicity, in the course of a lifetime gives us many moments simple and powerful: a laugh, an intelligent response, the instant pleasure of music that makes everything suddenly makes sense and purpose, I venture to think, for me at least, that is in them much more happiness the elaborate plans we make for life. Among the many figures that are available free on the Internet, most are simple and the plots rarely exceed 30 - 40 steps, however, are a fascinating source to find these figures amazing and full of beauty, aesthetic sense and elegance. A few months ago I put an entry in one of those figures, the beautiful American squirrel Perry Bailey, and now I do the same with this incredible Swan, whose diagram is available at the site of the English Association of Origami .

One of the features I like most about this figure is three-dimensional volume, which is never considered when qualifying the origami figures but it is vital, from the minute we live in a world where objects are more than a photograph or a diagram. Models that only look good from certain angles, which have multi ugly sides breaking the magic. It is not the case in this figure, that beyond the shell hovering below is displayed as a beautiful swan about to fly. The author is Italian Pasquale D'Auria and it also lies the challenge of achieving its curves and elegance. It has been automatically converted into one of my favorites. I invite you, fiercely, to bend, to love and give it as a miracle.
